From PSI Powersports comes this elegant guzzler dubbed the 3-D Big Air Carburetor, and it’s an impressive piece of work. This device boasts a dramatically larger float bowl—billet, naturally—and goes on from there to flow the mixture with power-producing efficiency into the chambers, but what’s more, these carbs come on quick with a short throttle pull and close-tolerance three-side slide design. Adjustments to the 3-D couldn’t be simpler, with external click-stop finger screws allowing you to dial your mixture in while the motor’s running. No experimenting with different sized jets is required. The manufacturer claims horsepower gains of 6–15, depending on application, and warrants the 3 three years. The price of the polished 3-D is $995, chrome plating adds another $100.

The Rear Fender Bib recently introduced by Harley-Davidson covers a lot of sins, and prevents even bigger ones from occurring. Designed to fit snugly to the rear fender when the passenger seat has been removed, the bib conceals unsightly mounting holes, but more importantly, serves as a shield for the paint beneath, allowing you to strap gear back there or throw over a set of saddlebags without running the risk of marring the finish. These bibs have a molded base and soft felt liner and there are two versions available, one for Fat Boys and Softail Deluxe models ($69.95) that has a leather panel matched to the stock seat, and one for Sportsters ($59.95) constructed of vinyl with a Bar & Shield embossment.
With the eCaddy Deluxe from Leader Motorsports you can relocate your GPS from your car’s dashboard or your inside jacket pocket to the handlebars of your hog. And you can rest assured it’ll stay there owing to its UltraSecure feature—a clever fastener arrangement that thwarts thieves but lets you mount and remove your device easily. The caddy works with a wide variety of Garmin GPS units as well as other electronic devices including Delphi and Sirius satellite radios. The price is $64.99.

Custom accessories don’t come much sharper… literally… than these Flamed Billet Scimitar Mirrors from Pro-One. Machined from solid billet aluminum, these wicked beauties are like a good argument: edgy and pointed. They’re available either chrome-plated or black-anodized for $134.95 each and will make any machine more menacing. The only drawback we see to these units is that you might be so transfixed by their looks that you’ll neglect to actually check the rear view.

Back in the day it was not an uncommon practice to bolt the top end of a Shovelhead to Panhead lowers to create what was known as a Pan-Shovel, so what S&S Cycle appears to be doing with their new Retro Conversion Kit for Shovels is simply turning that procedure on its head. But there’s a lot more to it than that. Though the kit employs what appear to be Panhead uppers, beneath those signature tins are highly evolved components—emphasis on the “evo”—including hydraulic lifters, Quickee adjustable pushrods, and forged roller rocker arms rocking in P-series mounts. This kit will give your Shovel the panache of a Pan while boosting power and reliability significantly. A win/win arrangement, if you ask us.
